Love creates a communion with life. Love expands us, connects us, sweetens us, ennobles us. Love springs up in tender concern, it blossoms into caring action. It makes beauty out of all we touch. Your light is seen, your heart is known, your soul is cherished by more people than you might imagine. If you knew how many others have been toughed in wonderful ways by you, you would be astonished. If you knew how many peopel feel so much for you, you would be shocked. You are far more wonderful than you think you are. Rest with that. Rest easy with that. Breathe again. You are doing fine. Learning to be grateful is a significant part of every person's journey here on this planet. Abundance comes in many forms; so rather tahn focus on what you don't have or what you believe you're missing out on, choose to focus on what you do have and on the opportuniities that have been given to you. Don't let the blessins in your life go unnoticed, because when you look hard enough, they are here. The person living in gratitude is the person who truly has it all. - unknown

A little love.
Love—as they walk out the door.
Love—as they stay home for the 300th day in a row.
Love—as they fall down.
Love—as they rise.
Love—as they are fearful.
Love—as they are brave.
Love—as they pull away.
Love—as they cling.
Love—as hard as it is to love.
Love—as it comes easily.
Choose love as much as you humanly can – and watch as it becomes their reference point,
like the lyrics to a catchy pop song that never quite leaves their head or their heart. - Rachel Macy Stafford

I have been the lover and the fighter but the women I value the most, will always be the survivor. - S. L. Heaton

The hardest and most important decision you can ever make is to choose yourself. It may mean you will upset your mom, your boss, your church, your friends. It will be hard. You'll raise eyebrows. You'll be gossiped about. So F*cking what. The only thing that you have to lose is the weight of everybody else's opinions. What you have to gain is freedom. Your happiness is more important than anyone else's opinion about it. - Mel Robbins

WHEN LOVE TAUGHT US

After all
is said and done
will you know
how much you meant,
did you love
and allow love in,
and did you shelter
the lives of the innocent?
The ancient stirrings of the heart
that swept us out
from our primal
caverns of isolation
and into the tender
arms of belonging
are still with us
in the darkened hours.
And the night we fear
calls us back
to the early light
of our beginning,
when we learned to open
and be welcoming
and when love
taught us
how to survive
by burning a fire
beyond our caves
called human care. - Susan Frybort

Vigilance and vulnerability make strange bedfellows...

This is the thing that many wpmen seldom understand about armored men. They often focus on the fact that the men aren't connecting with them. This is true, and they have every right to feel frustrated by this, but they also need to see the bigger picture. The reality is that many of those men aren't conencting with themselves either. From the beginning, men have been cast in the role of warrior-protector and their emotional ermor is fundamental to this task. They are so saturated in their warrior conditioning, so blocked by their emotional holdings, that many of them cannot open their hearts to love's mysterioes. It's not that they are consciously withholding intimacy- they simply have no idea how to open to it, and they see perpetual surrender as an unconscious threat to their duty as protector. Vigilance and surrender make strange bedfellows. - Jeff Brown, Love it Forward
One day we will be only whispers
in our children's minds,
our voices guiding and encouraging
or criticizing and condemning.
One day we will be only memories
in our children's hearts,
remembered laughter and love
or pain and conflict.
One day we will be only footprints
on our children's souls,
leaving a trail of light to illuminate their way
or a gorge of sharp-edged rocks for them
to stumble through in the dark.
We give our children wings to soar
or wounds to heal
every day by how we live,
how we love, how we speak,
the moment by moment choices we make.
What legacy do you hope to leave your children, friends?
And what are you doing today to turn that hope
into your children's reality? - L.R.Knost

You'll either be a voice that someone must overcome or you'll be a voice that helps someone overcome. - L.R. Knost

So much determination! Sending you love!
It can be so helpful to express our unsaid words, anger and grief to those who have hurt us. There is no good reason to carry someone else's baggage up the mountain. It weighs us down on a journey that is already challenging enough. Better to shed it so that we can move into life with greater freedom. At the same time, we have to be sure not to make our healing dependent on how others receive our expression. Many of those we share with will be too unconscious, stubborn or defensive to take in our experience, even if we express it in the gentlest of ways. It may be too shocking to their ways of organizing reality. It may be too painful to face. Not everyone is ready or able to do the deep work that self-reflection demands. This is not to say that we hold back- we must express our truth one way or the other- but it is to say that we are best served by sharing it without expectation. The liberation lies in the expression itself. - Jeff Brown

If you struggle to set boundaries, you may tend to cut people out when resentments arise. Learning how to set boundaries will help you sustain your relationships through moments of conflict. - Hailey Paige Magee

I read somewhere that boundaries aren’t walls; they’re doors showing people how to come in. They’re not meant to cut off people, but to teach others acceptable ways to be relationship with us. There’s a way in as well as a way out. With this positive reframing of boundaries, it doesn’t always have to be about saying “No,” putting up a wall, or cutting people out. It doesn’t have to be violent or abrupt. It can be a “Yes, when...,” a strengthening of our own sense of self, and an invitation for others to honor that. - Hailey Paige Magee

Essential lessons cannot be avoided. Callings don't go away. When we turn away from our lessons, when we ignore our truth-aches, the universe jumps into action, orchestrating our return, a symphony of self-creation dedicated to our unique expansion. This is the nature of karmic gravity, we are returned back to our path until we fully walk it. Return to sender, address now unknown. - Jeff Brown

Being a sensitive person can be a confusing, complicated thing in this still harsh world. It feels intuitively right to open, to feel, to enhearten our daily life, but the world is still vibrating at a more armored and edgy place. It is not yet attuned to the ways of the open heart. So what to do? We don't want to deaden our capacity to feel, but if we feel too much, we get run over by an often heartless world. I have found my best answer in three places: (1) Selective Attachment; that is- carefully discerning between positive and negative individuals and environments, and only attaching to those people and places that can hold our tender heart safe; (2) Strong energetic boundaries; that is- being physically and emotionally charged, so that we can more effectively repel unwelcome energies; (3) Conscious Armoring; that is- learning how to put on armor when necessary to manage the world and difficult situations, and, consciously removing it when it is no longer needed. If we cultivate these practices, we stand a much better chance of preserving our sensitivity. Once we lose it, we lose our connection to the moment altogether. Here's to a sensitive way of being! Sensitivity is a portal to divinity. What a courageous path. - Jeff Brown

This life truly IS a heroic journey...

This life is a hero's journey... just overcoming the weight of the world, and making a genuine effort to identify and honor our true-path is profound... kudos to anyone who is makinga genuine effort to get throught this life with originality, awareness and authenticity. - Jeff Brown
When #fear arises, name it softly and experience what it does to the breath, to the body, how it affects the heart. Notice the sensations and ideas that accompany it, the scary stories it tells. When we work with the fearful mind, we will initially become afraid. However, at some point, if we open our eyes and our heart to the fearful mind and gently name it, “fear, fear, fear,” experiencing its energy as it moves through us, the whole sense of fear will shift and eventually become recognition: “Oh, fear, here you are again. I know you. How interesting that you’ve come.” Make friends with your fear. From this foundation of loving awareness and acceptance we learn that it is okay to feel fear. Practicing #meditation with patience and courage, we can gradually learn how to feel the floods of strong emotions and to allow them to slowly release with #mindfulness. We learn to see the endless mental stories that repeat over and over, and with the resources of mindfulness and compassion, to let them go, to steady the mind and return to the present. Befriending fear becomes a gateway to freedom, an invitation to live more fully. - Jack Kornfield

Walls have a timeline all their own...

I used to try to punch my way through people's walls. I didn't understand that they were there for a reason and often essential to their survival. I did the same with my own walls. Neither got tougher, denser, more resilient. Now I have a different appraoch. I pray to walls. I honor their wisdom. I stroke them with kindness. I melt them with gentleness. And, if they still insist on standing firm, I leave them be. Walls have a timelines all their own. - Jeff Brown
Love will genuinely listen to the heart that is honestly speaking. - Susan Frybort

Love begins with listening. - Mr. Fred Rogers

“Listening: You can convey no greater honor than actually hearing what someone has to say. ― Philip Crosby

Have you ever felt that what you were trying to say was completely invalidated by the other person? Like they did not even hear, never mind accept what you were conveying? Poor listening is often the cause of interpersonal issues and conflicts. People often cite feelings of alienation or being put down whenever they perceive that the conversation is one-sided. Many think that listening is a prelude for giving advice to the other person. Not so! A good listener mainly pays attention to what the speaker is saying, rather than focusing on what suggestion to provide. Listening to someone does not mean that you have to “fix,” agree, or consent to what the other party is saying, but it does require you to respect the person’s thoughts and feelings. Offering the other party your undivided attention requires you to put aside anything that may distract you.(Yes, put down that phone.) Most of us would appreciate being heard and being seen, and being validated for what we are feeling. We may not be looking for the “answer.” Sometimes the best answer is ”I don’t have the answers, but I’m here for you as you figure it out.” - Project Happiness

One of the most sincere forms of respects is actually listening to what another has to say. - unknown

Remember:
It’s okay to mess up—or feel messed up. You just can’t lounge around in the mess. You gotta get up, dust yourself off, and seek out the message in the mess-up. A mistake is a mistake only if you don’t bother to seek out its lesson, meaning, and purpose. - Karen Salmansohn

Be a student not a victim of your mistakes & challenges. Learn those lessons well, so you don't have to sign up for " reepeact pain classes " - Karen Salmansohn

Healing our hearts gives love a place to land...

Love needs an entry point. If your emotional body is all blocked up by unresolved material, there's no way in. The more we empty the vessel before it comes. The more space love has to flourish. Healing our hearts gives love a place to land. - Jeff Brown

To Be Kind

To Be Kind
If you’re worried you’re not kind enough,
Then I think you’re already so.
Because kindness is within you,
You just have to let it flow.
It’s the wishing good on strangers,
Even though your day is grey.
It’s the smiling at the lady who
Is getting in your way.
It’s the little spoon of sugar,
That you leave out for a bee.
It’s the catching of a spider,
In a glass, to set it free.
It’s the sending out good messages,
Even though they’re in your head.
It still works just as well,
As if you’d texted it instead.
It’s stopping for a stranger,
Who is holding out a tin.
It’s the not becoming blind,
To someone eating from a bin.
It’s the writing of good wishes,
When a milestone has been met.
Not just birth and marriage,
Maybe getting out of debt?
It’s the sharing of your treasures,
Whether plentiful or not.
To some, a pound means nothing,
But to many, it’s a lot.
It’s the listening to the stories,
You have heard ten times before.
But refuse to show the signs,
That you’re finding it a chore.
It’s the trying to cut out plastic,
And eat more plants than meat
Being kind to the planet,
And yourself, is no mean feat.
Kindness is a feeling,
An atmosphere of care.
It’s not the great big gestures,
It’s just showing that you’re there.
So, if you’re thinking that you’re not,
Then, my friend, you’re off the hook.
For those who even think it,
Are those who write the book. - Donna Ashworth

It’s not as simple as changing a tire...

It’s not as simple as changing a tire. You can influence ans support others in their transformation, but you can't change them. If there is nay learning that I wish had been sealed in my brain at a young age, it is this one. How much time we waste trying to change others, when the only one we can change is staring at us in the mirror. - Jeff Brown

The soul longs to be lived...

The moment you devote your life to " optics " - that is, to how things look to others, a littel bit of you dies inside. Because you can't be transparent and optics-obsessed at the same time. Because it takes all that we have to clarify our authentic path in a distracted world. Ambition and authenticity make strang bedfellow. There is no time to waste obsessing over how others perceive us. Our soul longs to be lived. - Jeff Brown
Anger makes you smaller, while forgiveness forces you to grow beyond what you were. - Cherie Carter-Scott

The act of forgiveness takes place in our own mind. It really has nothing to do with the other person. - Louise Hay

Today, let me be love.

Today, let me be love.
Not the perfectly worded, one-sided love that comes only when it’s convenient or meets certain criteria.
Let me be the wholly accepting love that goes out of its way to be a warm blanket on shaking shoulders.
Let me be the Show Up kind of love that doesn’t ignore, deny, or dismiss when the pain is too big or isn’t my own.
Let me be the kind of love that speaks up when words don’t come easy and stays when things go back to ‘business as usual’.
Let me be the mountain-moving type of love that stops hate, clearing an unimaginable path for impossible hope.
I can be anything I want today.
Today, Let me be love—
-Rachel Macy Staffor

Today, let me be love.
The kind that speaks up when words don't come easy
The kind that stays long after things go back to " business as usual "
The kind that stops hate, clearing an unimaginabel path for impossible hope.
Today, Let me be love.

I felt fear, pain, grief, exhaustion – things no human being should have to carry,
let alone by myself, let alone for a lifetime.
There are things we can do to spread awareness and stop the hate.
Love – the kind that that protects, defends, and liberates – requires effort, risk, and action.
Together, we can.
Some Generous Apes May Help Explain The Evolution Of Human Kindness

Communciation, face past demons, set boundaries together, build and sustain trust, and weather storms that come to tear people apart... this is what I think of us.
I wanna be remmembered for my kindness, for showing up, for giving second chances, for acknowledging my own toxic traits & for loving selflessly. If that ain't it, then I failed horribly. Remember to extend grace because we're all just walking each other home. - unknowwn

And one day, you will understand how some people feel familiar the moment you meet them, as if your souls have met many years ago and they pick up right where they left off, and one day, out of the blue, someone will run up to you and tell you, " I have been waiting for you and I have missed you for so long. " - r.m. drake

Your magnificent body. This is where you are born again. And again...

It's not all in your head. It's all in your heart. It's all in your feet. It's all in your hips. It's all in your shoulders. It'as all in your breath. It's all in your body. Anything unattended to, unresolved, unhealed, and unprocessed lives in your tisses, your cells, your musculature. It may be manifest in your anxious thinking, but it doesn't begin there. The mind does not source it, the body does. The trick is to not try to shifr the thinking from within the mind itself. You can't. You may be able to subdue it there, but you won't be able to resolve it. Because the troubling thoughts are merely a symptons of the deeper issues. They are a reflection of our emotional holdings and constricted musculature. They emanate from the fleshy trauma tunnels that we dug in order to survive this world. Many of us sit in the waiting room of awakening for decades, praying impatiently for our new birth. And it never arrives, because we are looking for it where it isn't, within the mind, itself. Babies aren't born that way. You have to go down into the depths of the body to bring a new birth to life. Down, down, down.. into the alchemical chambers of new thought. Your magnificent body. There is where we are born again. - Jeff Brown, Hearticulations
