This is how love should be.

I want to hold your hand while sleeping next to you, kiss you with every breathe, love you to the end of time and cherish every second I have with you - Judy T.
On the Things that Make Adults Cry
From Let It Be Love
:
So friends, beloveds: Let me leave you with the words that you already know to be true in your hearts.

Stick with love. Cherish yourself, and surround yourself with those who see in you the incomparable light of your being. See who brings out kinder, gentler, more beautiful qualities in you. Let them be the people in your boat.

We are not meant to be alone. We need community, and if that community is to be a beloved community, we need to create love, channel love, make love real here and now. Community doesn’t descend down from heaven. We have to form it here and now.

Unfurl your own story. It is true that we do have to wait to see “who lives, who dies, who tells your story.” Tell your own story — do it now. There is a power in owning your own story. If you don’t tell your own story, someone else will. And if you are willing to do the hard work of polishing the jewels of your soul, no one else knows the treasures of your heart as well as you do.

Go, be your best self. Be your most beautiful self. Be your luminous self. Be your most generous self. Be your most radically loving self. And when you fall short of that — as we all do, as we all have — bounce back and return. And return again. There is a grace in this returning to your luminous self.

I am not one for final words of wisdom. Some do it well, and with so much heart. I prefer to focus on the journey, and the company we keep on this journey of life, and beyond. It is the journey itself that is lovely and worth taking.

So let us keep journeying together, to a way of being together that makes beauty real and love present. Hand in hand, with this commitment to love guiding our steps; right can be actualized; justice can be mobilized; meanness can be neutralized; love can be organized; and the beloved community can be realized.

Let it be love.
The Gig Economy Celebrates Working Yourself to Death Fiverr can eat a covfefe for lunch. Whether intentionally or not, they are helping drive down wages for creative professionals. I suppose if one believes in Darwinian capitalism that's a great thing, though it's quite another if you need to make a living in an high cost-of-living country like the U.S. For MOST of the people the gig economy is not "getting unshackled from an office/factory job", it's living in a fear for being able to pay for basic needs next month.

Healing....

It's not how big the house is, it's how happy the home is. - unknown

This is a time for healing deep emotional trauma. Situations you thought you cleared are coming up again for more awareness. Healing is done in layers. You have to continue to spiral through the same emotional experiences until there is no energetic charge left to trigger you. - unknown

Even now, as broken as you may feel, you are still so strong. There's something to be said for how you hold yourself together and keep moving, even though you feel like shattering. Don't stop. This is your healing. It doesn't have to be pretty, or graceful. You just have to keep going. - Maxwell Diawuoh

We repeat what we don't repair. - unknown

Sometimes people come into our lives for a specific reason and it could be that it’s the time you need to reclaim your joy. I believe in people coming in and out of our lives when we need them most and we have the power to keep them if they are meant to be kept. When our journey with them is done then we let them go :) Life’s short - date that delicious younger/older man, take that trip, eat that cupcake

One day at a time - this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone ; and do not be troubled about the future for it has not yet come. Live in the present and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering. Happiness is a journey. Just as life is. Enjoy the ride. - Ida Scott Taylor

That kind of childhood is not only laden with stress; also, it means that the child will never be able to entertain herself. Will never be able to live inside her own head. Resonating..reflection

My friend Peter posted this quote on social media, "Always pray to have eyes that see the best, a heart that forgives the worst, a mind that forgets the bad, and a soul that never loses faith. "- unknown

His friend, A.B. respsonsed with the following

"I'm sure everyone has their own experiences but for me, I can't agree with this posting. Seeing the best in people can make you blind to their worst. Heart that forgives the worst, allowed others around me to continually take advantage or abuse me. Mind that forgets the bad, I forgot for 4yrs until 7 panic attacks, 7 calls to the crisis hotline, and 5 visits to the emergency room helped me remember. And a soul that never loses faith, that only matters if you interact with people. Hope and faith leave you vulnerable to be taken advantage and abuse. Instead, accept people for their actions and what they say, not everyone is mentally or physically healthy. We're complex humans with both good and bad. You can't change them or influence them but always have personal integrity in everything you say and do. We can't be perfect but try so there's less self-loathing. Never forget the bad so you can use it as a benchmark to praise the good and be grateful. Always forgive yourself and strive to be better than your former self. And ultimately, you're at war with yourself no matter the environment or situation until you learn that life lesson. There'll always be a pop quiz in the future and same lessons if you need to relearn it. The one lesson that constantly challenges me is to learn to be kinder and more patient with self. So far, that's what life has taught me and it's a constant lesson to relearn with each new person I meet."

The words are powerful.

The trouble is, they may also lack the verbal ability and self-awareness to explain how they’re feeling. This means asking them, “What’s wrong?” will rarely yield a productive response."

Nothing is more important than empathy for another human being's suffering. Nothing. Not career, not wealth, not intelligence, certainly not status. We have to feel for one another if we're going to survive with dignity. - Audrey Hepburn
The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not 'get over' the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the lose you suffered. You will be whole again but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same nor would you want to. - Elisabeth Kubler- Ross

It's not our job to toughen our children up to face a cruel and heartless world. It's our job to raise our children who will make the world a little less cruel and heartless. - L.R Knost

If you want your kids grow into capable, independent adults, give them space to make some decisions without you controlling their every move. Back off. Let them try. Let them fail. It's not about them always getting it right, it's about them learning not to be afraid to try. - Brooke Hampton

Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff. - Catherine M. Wallace

"Grow up," we say. "Stop crying," we plead. "Be quiet," we scream. "Do as you're told," we demand. And then we wonder why there are so many adults who can't find the courage to speak, or feel, or create. Maybe there are so many wild souls in cages because we put them there. - Brooke Hampton

Instant obedience and mindless compliance are poor goals, indeed, when raising children. A thoughtfully questioning, passionately curious, and humorously resourceful child who wants to know why, who delights in inventing "compromises," and who endlessly pushes the boundaries tends to grow into a thoughtful, passionate, resourceful adult who will change the world rather than being changed by the world. - L.R. Stop Worrying About Your Sensitive Child "Sensitive children can be the most misunderstood. Their openness is mistaken for weakness. Their caution and reactiveness are seen as fear. Their thoughtfulness and awareness are perceived as reticence, and their introversion as lacking in social skill and self-confidence. This Mom’s Desperate Plea To Husband For Help Is What Too Many Women Are Going Through Right Now, I was called a lazy bitch when I took a 20 mins break after dinner and I didn't do dishes. I was called a lazy guest " as who do you think you are? " by his mother, when I didn't put dishes in the sink after dinner. HELP doesn't exist.
The True Hard Work of Love and Relationships
Honor Your Heart (And Other Lessons From The Bachelor) " But the act of giving your love deserves nothing other than reciprocity and the embodied knowing that it will be received, honored, and cherished. As professor Naava Smolash says, to honor one’s needs is to challenge the socialized shame that so readily emerges when we feel unable to acknowledge our heart in fear of being unlovable — but feelings and needs as truth of human biology provides grounding for that process to begin... We can take these lessons when choosing the partners for our lives. What happens when we honor our needs and know we are worthy and capable of love? What happens when we humanize the easily-made villains of our nation’s media diet? We move into wholeness. We move toward a more holistic love. "

The Five Stages of Socializing With Your Children’s Friends’ Parents

BY Jessica LaRose

We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough, and we'll be more content when they are.
After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our partner gets his or her act together when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice holiday, when we retire.
The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when?
Your life will always be filled with challenges.
It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway.
A quote comes from Alfred D. Souza. He said,
"For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life."
This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.
So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time...and remember that time waits for no one.
So, stop waiting until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until winter, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink.... there is no better time than right now to be happy.
Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
Work like you don't need money,
Love like you've never been hurt,
And dance like no one's watching.

Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent." - Calvin Coolidge

March 21 Is The Busiest Day On The U.N. Calendar

Happy birthday, mom!

Mom! Thank you. Thank you for the sacrifices you have given to raise me. Thank you for the love and support you have for us, Gabe and I , for all that we do. I have not told you enough how much I appreciate you. I don't text you enough to tell you I love you, I don't send letters and I'm terrible at birthday/Christmas gifts. I have hurt you emotionally, I have tried you mentally, I have even caused pain physically (being born, obviously). Still, you love me unconditionally and will do whatever is in your power to protect and love me and Gabe. We have grown in our relationship due to the trials and hardships we have faced, it's because of the difficult times that the good times are even sweeter. Thank you for your support, for you love, for your advice. Thank you for helping me by my side when my son was born. Thank you for being my mom. I love you.

Worth watching it again... stepping into love, healing from a heartbreak...love is a collaborative work of art!

In love, we fall. We're struck, we're crushed, we swoon. We burn with passion. Love makes us crazy and makes us sick. Our hearts ache, and then they break. Talking about love in this way fundamentally shapes how we experience it, says writer Mandy Len Catron. In this talk for anyone who's ever felt crazy in love, Catron highlights a different metaphor for love that may help us find more joy -- and less suffering -- in it.

"So if love is a collaborative work of art, then love is an aesthetic experience. Love is unpredictable, love is creative, love requires communication and discipline, it is frustrating and emotionally demanding. And love involves both joy and pain. Ultimately, each experience of love is different."
"Reframing love as something I get to create with someone I admire, rather than something that just happens to me without my control or consent, is empowering. It's still hard. Love still feels totally maddening and crushing some days, and when I feel really frustrated, I have to remind myself: my job in this relationship is to talk to my partner about what I want to make together. This isn't easy, either. But it's just so much better than the alternative, which is that thing that feels like madness."
"This version of love is not about winning or losing someone's affection. Instead, it requires that you trust your partner and talk about things when trusting feels difficult, which sounds so simple, but is actually a kind of revolutionary, radical act. This is because you get to stop thinking about yourself and what you're gaining or losing in your relationship, and you get to start thinking about what you have to offer. This version of love allows us to say things like, "Hey, we're not very good collaborators. Maybe this isn't for us." Or, "That relationship was shorter than I had planned, but it was still kind of beautiful."
"The beautiful thing about the collaborative work of art is that it will not paint or draw or sculpt itself. This version of love allows us to decide what it looks like."
