Today is Yom Ha'atzmaut--Israel's Independence Day--70 years is a lot to be thankful for. The song sung below, Al Kol Eileh is an Israeli staple. It is a perfect Israeli song in that it celebrates both the honey and the sting, that Israeli life is complicated that is sweetness and there is difficulty, but as Jews we celebrate the opportunity both to wrestle with what is difficult and hopefully continue to do better, but also celebrate what is so sweet about 70 years of a Jewish state. - Congregation Kol Ami
