So many are choosing to leave us right now by their own hand. There are many reasons for this, but some of them were affixed to the ungrounded spiritualities of the new age, which served them for a time, but then came crashing back to earth, leaving many of their believers ill-equipped to manage reality. All those years spent staring at the pain-body across the room while their shadow grew larger, congealing into weapons that turned inward against the self. I will not deny my anger, nor pretend that ungrounded teachings and beliefs did not contribute to their departure. After the pseudo positivity falls away, after our shunned story reminds us that it is deeply real, after the neglected shadow returns with a vengeance, we need to get support. Not from the ungrounded spirituality movement, not from new age grifters who sell enlightenment by the bushel, but from grounded healers and therapists who understand the necessity for healing and resolution. When the truth hits the fan, we don’t need mantras of self-avoidance. We don't need dissociation techniques. We don't need $2,000 quick fix workshops.
