It doesn’t matter what people think about what you express. It matters that you express it. And the more brazen and true your voice, the more attacks will come your way. This is utterly inevitable. You must know this going in. And you must continue to find and assert your voice. Because it is the true voice that will save us from ourselves. Without it, we are lost, lost, lost. Speak your bravest voice, always. The more they attack, the more you express. The more they resist, the more you persist. The more attention they give you, the more attention you give you. Use their hostility as fodder for your own empowerment. Use it to nourish your self-concept and strengthen your resolve. Put it on your cereal, and eat them whole. - Jeff Brown
