I have some moderate/conservative friends that are having a hard time figuring out what millions of their fellow Americans, indeed humans, all over the world are protesting. Is it Trump himself, his corrupt and incompetent cabinet picks, his ties to Russia and the fact that he may well be compromised, the fact that Russia interfered in our election to help him, his racism, his pattern of ripping off contractors, his multiple business failures, the way he demeans women, the way he demeans people of virtually every faith, his denial of the facts of climate change, his constant bald-face and obvious lies, his utter lack of impulse control with twitter, that he plagiarized a comic book villain in his inaugural address, that he and his VP are so cruelly mean-spirited on GLBTQ issues, that he boasts about his history of sexual assault, the fact that he is being sued for statutory rape, the fact that he has reanimated the KKK, that he can't string a coherent sentence together, or maybe it's the ghastly cast of horribles that now control congress, the fact that Trump will pick the next Supreme Court justice or three, the plans to de-fund planned parenthood and PBS, the plans to sell off national parks, and to repeal the Affordable Care Act and take health care from tens of millions of people? To which I say, "Well, ya know, there's alot more to it than that." - Thomas McElroy
