No Movie and a dinner date and running on empty....

The dinner club had a change of plan. We did not watch THE NAMESAKE (which I managed to get 2 copies because I was a mess), instead we fillied ours empties stomach with very yummy Korean food and laughed through a .25 game of mahjong.
Intoxicated with love, I failed to notice the needle was pointing to E. I figured it real soon once I was on the freeway. But it was so low that I did not make it to the next exit. With a little help from my friends, I was on my way within an hour with some fossil fuel. A lesson learned.

I was so nervous on my way home I even forgot my headlight until I was reminded by a honking bystander!

The recent success of pudding and sand really defined my work for the rest of the year. I will gain resistance of the noun: starch. Me being filler and the chemical clown, I will learn to keep a straight face, learn all my XYZ right and getting to be really good friends with F-3, S-2 and S. natans. I don’t mind saying good bye to them for good. My next buzz: bulky comic.

Boring Fish have attended the official kickoff-retreat-workshop of professional C-school. It was great to network and get to know many new faces. I hope to have some great friends from the experience. Grant is one of the Beavers mentor. GO Beavs!

A high-powered intern may come this summer and I will be working with him. It would be very interesting. Prof as an intern never heard of it before and Huskygal did not favor the idea from prior experience & drama..… the plot has thicken.…………

Did you get pinch?

Saint Patrick's Day
No Irish beer, just tea, having Pad Thai with WJ after school and dreaming about no school nights, long week for both of us with meetings (Tuesday, no matter who you work for), I think I may have a new record of the number of meetings in this week. It would be sweet if Saturday is here and I can go straight to Easter church buffet, uke meeting and doing some area under the curve integration with Tommy.

Mocha is feeling cold till May

This should give me some time to turn my crib into doggies-ready-home! I need to get escape artist, dugger, barker, chewer, stealer-proof. I am sure these two are already plotting a new surprise for me.
I will go special collar shopping soon because last week I got a welcome letter from the county animal control and protection agency. Great neighbors, huh?!

The patio is done and the gate has been replaced, so what else can I do? lot of cable wire? Bark collar? A nanny?

BoringFish’s EQ needs some mending. I got the EQ notice in an email, no punch intended from the sender. It is for my glorious moment in winning this popularity contest. The training is about the awareness of how emotions impact our working relationships and how to manage those emotions and relationships effectively. Going to the finish line all the way, baby!

Smelled liked MacBiggies here lately at the silo with the leftover French fries, who knows we could smell good with fries and pudding. No complaint though, they sure are keeping me busy, besides having a crusade with the bacteria, mold and fungi. Bring it on, holes and breaks. it's not all me.

I am going to start the "AA" experience program next week, I am excited, meanwhile, after having a 3rd term and a final presentation in the coming weeks, I will get to enjoy spring break, working and dreaming about a vacation....until then, a road trip to North, it's family and it's obligated. Painful...when I turned down free ticket to Cirque du Soleil: Corteo and a ski trip because of this commitment!

What so fun about doing paintball, besides being a good shooter. Opie is an "obvious" target.

Fatty Kim will be around more often, man she just finished "Marley and me". It's an awesome book. What would Mocha think when she meets Panda? Or Emily? Or Romeo? Definitely a can't miss canon moment.

Another veteran is leaving "world clas" and "the best of the west", an engineer is walking away from his last 29 years of sweat (It's hot, dirty and deafening), tears and joy! Oh wait; there is Sean, whom is planning to leave Murphy's land soon to go for a belt-tightening ChE experience.

Low key weekend at home, rough weekend at work

BoringFish is thinking about red dress party, Mexico, Ireland, Japan, Korea and Germany.

After visiting my pretty girl and wolf-liked Romeo, I changed my mind about going to the Japanese Garden (wanted to see the HINA MATSURI, THE DOLL FESTIVAL) because of the cloudy Portland sky and went to dim sum instead. MOM, Miss J and Miss WJ & I went to the crowded WK. We got the usuals: dumpings, rice noodle, vegie, chicken feet and seasame balls. Miss WJ and mom are long lost long distance relative (黃).. hahaha.

After some serious groceries shopping, WJ and I headed home for some hw, some serious girlie talks, and some serious banchan and kimchee tofu soup. Oishii! She was so much fun!! The food was delicious, the conversation flowing, the laughter contagious. Like Miss J, I think she will be a regular in Bblog.

On Sunday, I stopped my weeks of hiatus and spent some quality time with the Bulldogs family, Adam is healing from his broken collar bone when snowboarding at Hood pretty weeks ago. Jenny is naughty as always and here is very mellow Molly.Tom is doing well with integrals and starting varsity soccer and paintball. It's all good.

Having a bad belt at motor and hole at fabric this weekend did not help N1 get back to speed for month end. Bad start at 2008 YTD as we finished February with below planned performance.

Fatty K's Forward

-----This is an actual letter from an Austin woman sent to American company Proctor and Gamble regarding their feminine products. She really gets rolling after the first paragraph. It's PC Magazine's 2007 editors' choice for best webmail-award-winning letter

Dear Mr. Thatcher,

I have been a loyal user of your 'Always' maxi pads for over 20 years and I appreciate many of their features. Why, without the LeakGuard Core or Dri-Weave absorbency, I'd probably never go horseback riding or salsa dancing, and I'd certainly steer clear of running up and down the beach in tight, white shorts. But my favorite feature has to be yo ur revolutionary Flexi-Wings. Kudos on being the only company smart enough to realize how crucial it is that maxi pads be aerodynamic. I can't tell you how safe and secure I feel each month knowing there's a little F-16 in my pants.

Have you ever had a menstrual period, Mr. Thatcher? I'm guessing you haven't. Well, my time of the month is starting right now. As I type, I can already feel hormonal forces violently surging through my body. Just a few minutes from now, my body will adjust and I'll be transformed into what my husband likes to call 'an inbred hillbilly with knife skills.' Isn't the human body amazing?

As Brand Manager in the Feminine-Hygiene Division, you've no doubt seen quite a bit of research on what exactly happens during your customer's monthly visits from 'Aunt Flo'. Therefore, you must know about the bloating, puffiness, and cramping we endure, and about our intense mood swings, crying jags, and out-of-c ontrol behavior. You surely realize it's a tough time for most women.

The point is, sir, you of all people must realize that America is just crawling with homicidal maniacs in Capri pants... Which brings me to the reason for my letter. Last month, while in the throes of cramping so painful I wanted to reach inside my body and yank out my uterus, I opened an Always maxi-pad, and there, printed on the adhesive backing, were these words: 'Have a Happy Period.'

Are you f------ kidding me? What I mean is, does any part of your tiny middle-manager brain really think happiness - actual smiling, laughing happiness, is possible during a menstrual period? Did anything mentioned above sound the least bit pleasurable? Well, did it, James? FYI, unless you're some kind of sick S&M freak, there will never be anything 'happy' about a day in which you have to jack yourself up on Motrin and Kahlua and lock yourself in your house just so you don't march down to the local Walgreen's armed with a hunting rifle and a sketchy plan to end your life in a blaze of glory.

For the love of God, pull your head out, man! If you have to slap a moronic message on a maxi pad, wouldn't it make more sense to say something that's actually pertinent, like 'Put down the Hammer' or 'Vehicular Manslaughter is Wrong.'

Sir, please inform your Accounting Department that, effective immediately, there will be an $8 drop in monthly profits, for I have chosen to take my maxi-pad business elsewhere. And though I will certainly miss your Flex-Wings, I will not for one minute miss your brand of condescending bullshit. And that's a promise I will keep. Always. . .

Best,
Wendi Aarons
