This blog is a way for me to communicate with web browsing friends all over the world, and will serve as a virtual diary for me to share my perspective on the weird in the world.

Party on Dudes and Dudettes
I have been the unfortunate victim of endless shift work... only one more month, and the worst should be over. I need someone to stand up for me and keep me from being exploited. Besides shift work, I have been needing to deal with very hurtful people. It has validated my decision, and even though I have enjoyed my time here, it is a good opportunity to move on, and I will be sure to learn a lot in my new position.
In my home life I am also embracing some changes, getting ready to let go of the house, and becoming the guardian of a teenager. It's tough to cope when we hardly see each other, but I feel that we're making some progress.
The Oregon Coast is always a good destination when you need to jump in the car and get away. Especially nice when the valley is cooking.
Life is a little overwhelming sometimes, and I feel alone in the world from time to time, but I am learning to live with it.
Finally, after nine months, I had a chance for a girls' night out. I let them have their makeover session, and joined them for dinner. I gave them a round of applause when they came in, because they were looking ready to hit the town, while I was in my t-shirt. We had a lot of joking and laughing, and even a little mahjong before calling it a night. I am looking forward to more such entertainment in the future, as I move closer to the big city.
Next weekend, I will get to see my favorite non-person again. Emily!! I miss her very much, and I will get to doggy-sit her for a day. I also miss my Coffee boy, who I will be remembering as I drive through the forests of the Olympic peninsula on my way to see Emily.

Embracing the uncertainties... that could be hard sometime!
"I get it now; I didn't get it then. That life is about losing and about doing it as gracefully as possible... and enjoying everything in between." -Mia Farrow
