What are Uyghur people/維吾爾? What are some other Chinese min. groups? One of my sponsor children, Bai is from Ningxia 寧夏 and he is part of the min. group of Hin/回. The historical voyager Zheng He 鄭和 was Hin. He and his fleets were known for the "seven naval expeditions" to the West in Ming dynasty, 明朝. The book, 1421: The Year China Discovered the World claims that several parts of Zheng's fleet explored virtually the entire globe, discovering West Africa, North and South America, Greenland, Antarctica and Australia.
What is the definition of Han Chinese? My mom's family is from Fujian. We visited the 黄; Huang=Wong=Wang clan several years ago. It was very fascinating to learn about the history of the ancestors.
