I carry the heartache of many sorrows. I have waited patiently on forgiveness and held out for the faintest touch of compassionate understanding. I have stood over the broken pieces of a wrong decision. We are not unalike, you and I, and I have been lonely in life, too. I don't know the swiftest and most effective cure for loneliness, but if I could give you a soothing salve that could ease the discomfort of those desolate hours, believe me I would. For now I will tell you, even your dark and isolating nights are hallowed ground. Even the air around you is scented with the fragrance of mercy. Even the center of your being is filled with consoling memories of those who love you. Even the thick breadth of night can't swallow you, instead holds you like a caring mother. For now I will tell you. You may be all on your own, but you are never, ever alone in the silent struggle. - Susan Frybort
