iLevel has announced it is closing the Engineered Wood Products mill located in Albany, Ore., effective today (Sept. 1). The action comes in response to market conditions and affects 70 associates at the Microllam® facility. iLevel will continue to supply customers with Microllam products from other iLevel facilities. The Albany plant will operate on a very limited basis for about two weeks to fulfill customer orders for finished goods.
In addition, iLevel is reducing staffing at 11 idled EWP sites that have been indefinitely closed for one to nearly three years. The action affects nearly a dozen associates who have been working to safely maintain the equipment and property at these locations.
