There is nothing wrong with expectations, if they are agreed to...
There is nothign wrong with expectations, if they are agreed to. Not impliedly agreed to, but explicityly agreed to. If not, they are merely assumptions about what someone will, or should do. And those assumptions often lead to grave disappointment. Better to turn your expectations into agreements, so that you truly know what you are stepping into. And so that the bridge between you is tangible and clear. It's all too easy to assume that someone will be there for you, or will treat you with respect, or meet your various needs. But you can't expect it, unless they agree to it. - Jeff Brown
