“Every decision you’ve ever made has led you up to the point of right where you are standing. “ - Cliff M.
I think about my life path, happiness and what I hope to have accomplished during my short time on this earth. When you are on your deathbed, all the tiny little problems of your daily life melt away. What you’re left with is what should truly matter in your life. You will have clarity.
The Deathbed Method To Happiness
1. Start by thinking about your last breath. During the last few moments, how do you want to feel? Who do you want surrounding your bed, holding your hand? How do you want the people closest to you to feel? Think hard - deep inside your heart - just before you pass away.
2. Next, imagine one minute before this moment. What do you still need to say or do you for the people in your life? Is there anything you still need to get done?
3. Now, imagine the hour before your death, one day, one month, one year, one decade before your death. Keep working it backwards until you get one decade from now. One year. One month. Tomorrow. One minute from now.
4. What can you do or say today to the people in your life that may help you along your ideal life path? prioritize what you feel is the right thing to do… For you. Your life is a series of choices that you make every single day leading up to the day you die.
I really can’t say whether this method of making decisions about your life will work or not. Everyone gets to decide for themselves how to connect their own dots. Deciding that someone else should connect your dots is actually a decision made by you. Don’t blame anyone else. It’s not their fault. - Rob M.
