Self Esteem is Critical to a Child's Development
As parents we need to nurture our children's self esteem by recognizing that our words and actions have a tremendous impact on how they feel about themselves.

What is a child's self esteem based on?

Genetics, physical characteristics, and innate skills and talents influence the development of self esteem.
Life experiences and performance in the classroom and on the athletic field will also contribute.
But by far the most important influence on children's self esteem is their parents.
